Today was my first day of class for the semester. I also have my annual report due tomorrow. I spent 13 hours at the office on Saturday... I decided to work from home yesterday and of course the baby started breathing like a Mack truck. Arghhhh.
Is it a virus? Is it asthma? Is it something else? Poor little guy was snotty (making us think it's not asthma) but it came on all of a sudden. The mystery continues. After a dose of baby Benadryl, and being held by mommy for an hour (at 1 a.m.) he finally fell back asleep (with the cool mist humidifier). I was up by 4:30 and to work by 6 a.m. George took Colton in first thing. The good news was that his breathing was at 100%. Again he received an oral steroid and we were instructed to nebulize him with an inhaled steroid twice a day. We were told to do this over a month ago, but one of the side-effects is thrush. I didn't want to travel to Minnesota and be stuck with a baby who has thrush (and where the mild thrush medication doesn't work)... He did pretty well today and actually slept quite a bit, even though the steroid was supposed to make him hyper.

I've been where you are with the s ame mystery health issues when Harry was the same age. Don't be too anxious to get him on dairy... a lot of this migjt be related to diet. Facebook message or email me if you want to discuss... I'm also going to see if you're already a member of the Broads with Babies Facebook group. If not I'll invite you. Awesome Milwaukee women figuring it out together. :)
