No-Mee Building

3/29/2014

Today was a very fun day. Colton turned two last Friday and he was extremely sick. He came down with a cold on Thursday night. By Friday he was too sick to go to school. He was well enough to entertain Mechelle, Roxanne, Jen, Jeff, Sara and Emma for a bit of cake at the Country Corner Diner on Saturday, March 22.

He went to the doctor on Monday (3/24) for his 2-year-old check up. He's in the 60th percentile in height and 56 percentile in weight. He also managed to rack up a double ear infection (his FIRST ear infection), a sinus infection and respiratory congestion.

You wouldn't know it by hanging around him though. He's the happiest sick kid in the world.

Today he helped daddy build a no-mee (snowman). Gramma EE (Lele) watched with baby Sutton on Skype. She and Colton named the snowman Snuffy.

Colton amazes us everyday. He like to "BOOO" people (hide -in the open - and scare you by saying Boo!). Today when he woke up from his nap while I was making cole slaw. I had swept the remnants into a pile on the floor. When I brought him down from his room he pointed out that it was "Messy, messy, messy." Until I swept it up and put it in the garbage. I had steamed carrots and broccoli. He ate quite a bit and then I asked him what else he wanted.

He answered, "Pizza." (We don't often eat pizza and were unsure where he got the idea.)  It sounded like a good idea so after taking his nasty antibiotic (and having some cha cha raisi's (chocolate raisins)) we got in the car and went to Pizza Palace. He was a great little diner. He counted lights (five) and "two kids" (two and five are really the only two numbers he consistently says.)

We also found out that one of my dearest friends is pregnant with her first. We're so happy for Chris and Tonya. Being a parent is a magical thing.

Someone decided to eat the heads off of his animal crackers before sticking them back into the box.

It looks like a lion lost a butt too.

Oh Colton.
