Giants vs. Eagles 10/30/07

"That deal and piles and stuff…"

"Where was Strahan?  Well he wasn't in there.  The rookie was." 

"That was an eagle eye Manning, making them jump and making a shorter third down conversion." 

"That was kinda of an option thing." 

"Then you get a younger passer, his second year, but really his first year… you are going to have those jumps because you can not let a defensive guy get a jump on you."

 "When you're trying to figure out protections, and trying to do too many things, then time just runs out on ya."

Hey come to think of it, maybe I love bob most because he too is palindromic!

Well I thought it would be good to watch Anchorman because it was a good bet the Pats were going to do some butt whoopin.  But it was SO stupid I switched over for the 3rd quarter.

Here were a couple catch Maddenisms I found, well, Maddenesque --

About Foxborough - "That's a great downtown of the great downtowns in this country."  Al replied "a great city"

About Randy Moss catches, "Ya just know, you get on this side of that thing...If you're on Randy Moss on this side of the field with Tom Brady throwing you know you have a ball coming."

and my favorite of the night -- "It's a lot easier to run the ball in the 2nd half than the 1st half. A lot easier to run in the 4th quarter than the 3rd.  And for all offensive purposes its easier when you have the lead."

 "Doesn't Tony Romo look like sometimes he's out playing in a park?

Until the obvious is stated until it can be stated no more...

Until you realize it just wouldn't be the same without our  rolly, polly, rambler...

Until John Madden has uttered his first Maddenism it is not Football season.

Thank God this seaon is well underway!
