Robby went to his first show in May. He earned a second place in HA/AA hunter pleasure junior horse (out of 10) qualifying him for the Region 10 Championship show in June.
He trailered down the the Minnesota State Fair Grounds again in June. The Wednesday pre-show resulted in three classes, three places (one class significantly better than the other two) and two qualifications for Rachael as the rider for regionals. His first class on Friday resulted in a unanimous reserve championship in HA/AA Hunter Pleasure Junior Horse with Sarah Paripovich. They were the unanimous second behind last year's US National Futurity winner. Not bad. Then Rachael rode him in HA/AA hunter pleasure limit rider resulting in a Top 5 out of 14. They were second, fifth and sixth on the cards. Sunday was another Top 5 in HA/AA hunter pleasure AAOTR 19-39 out of 11. So in two (technically three, but to Robby the pre-show was no different from Regionals since they were at the same time in the same place) shows Rob is already a three-time regional winner with a left-over nationals qualification for AAOTR for next year. He's earned 15 of the 60 points needed for his legion of honor and is going to Canada! Crazy his third show is the Canadian Nationals. Not bad Robby.
